HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Lady Eagles wrap up their home portion of its schedule this weekend. Southern Miss looks to extend its winning streak when the Lady Eagles host UAB on Friday.
Southern Miss (8-14, 2-7) is coming off an 80-73 conference win over Tulane on Feb. 5, marking the 500th win in the program. Freshman Shannon Stueber scored a career-high 27 points while Emer Foley recorded her second straight double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Southern Miss never trailed in the game and held off a late rally by the Green Wave for the win. The Lady Eagles finished the game shooting 52.7 percent from the field.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.5 points, while Deondra Carter is averaging 11.0 points and Dianca Jones is averaging 10.3 points. Foley leads the team in rebounding at 5.5 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 57.5 points and 35.3 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 39.2 percent from the field and 72.1 percent from the free throw line.

Carmen Guzman led the Blazers with 22 points while Katie Billue and Brittingham scored 11 points apiece and Crystal McFadden chipped in 10 points.
