Lady Eagles Play Non-conference game at UNO

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Lady Eagles will try to snap a five-game losing streak when they travel to New Orleans a non-conference game on Feb. 1. Game time is set for a 7 p.m., tip. Southern Miss is playing its third game in five days.
Southern Miss (6-14, 1-7) is coming off a 74-57 conference loss at Charlotte on Sunday. Freshman Emer Foley scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down eight boards in the loss. Shannon Stueber had 14 points and Dianca Jones added 12 points. Southern Miss trailed only one points, 54-53, with 9:35 remaining when Charlotte scored nine unanswered points to start an 18-2 run.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.0 points, while Deondra Carter is averaging 11.0 points and Jones is averaging 10.6 points. Kimberly Rigg and Biland lead the team in rebounding at 5.5 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 55.7 points and 35.0 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 38.5 percent from the field and 71.9 percent from the free throw line.
Following the UNO game, Southern Miss jumps back into conference play, hosting Tulane on Feb. 5 at 5 p.m.
