Lady Eagles Play at Charlotte in a Televised Game

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Lady Eagles will try to snap a four-game losing streak when they head to Charlotte a game on Jan. 30. Game time is set for a noon (central) tip and will be televised as part of the Conference USA package on Comcast Cable Channel 25 in Hattiesburg.
Southern Miss (6-13, 1-6) is coming off an 83-66 loss to East Carolina on Friday. Freshman Emer Foley scored a game-high 27 points and pulled down 12 boards. Shannon Stueber had 11 points, while Dianca Jones and Liz Biland added 10 points apiece. Southern Miss shot a firedog 22 percent from the field in the first half, but improved to 48 percent in the second half and finished the game at 39 percent.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.0 points, while Deondra Carter is averaging 11.2 points and Jones is averaging 10.5 points. Kimberly Rigg and Biland lead the team in rebounding at 5.6 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 55.6 points and 34.9 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 38.6 percent from the field and 72 percent from the free throw line.
Following the Charlotte game, Southern Miss concludes its road swing at New Orleans in a non-conference match up on Feb. 1.
