Ticket Office Selling Overflow Tickets For Ole Miss Game HATTIESBURG, Miss. ?
A substantial increase in 2004 season ticket sales meant fewer reserved chairback and general admission bleacher tickets were available for single-game sales. Chairback tickets went on sale March 15 and only single seats were available at the end of the day.
It is anticipated that the game will set a new attendance record for a Southern Miss-Ole Miss matchup at Pete Taylor Park. The current record is a crowd of 2,888 that attended the February 27, 2002 contest, a game won 5-1 by the Golden Eagles. That game ranks 23rd on the park?s all-time attendance list.
The ticket office also announced that single chairbacks and a limited number of bleacher tickets remain for the April 6 and 7 home games against Mississippi State. Overflow sales will commence once these remaining tickets are sold.
