Lady Eagles Finish 8th In The Waterlefe Invitational
First round leader Miami dropped from first to fifth after shooting a final round 328, opening the door for Ole Miss to move up from second place and claim the tournament title, with a team score of 306-302-318--926. East Carolina finished second at 306-308-318--932, and Southern Miss finished with a final score of 314-316-312--942.
East Carolina's Adrienne Millican earned medalist honors at 732-73-76--222.. Sofia Gorelik of Campbell was two shots back at 73-79-72--224, UNCW's Audrey Gale earned third at 75-73-77--225, and Jennifer Keefe used her best round of the tournament to move from 13th to fourth place, at 76-76-75--226. Mia Davidsson finished behind Keefe, at 83-78-76--237, followed by Natasha Vincent at 77-80-84--241, Ofelia Lopez at 78-82-84--244 and Nicole Mackey at 91-82-77--250.
Following their second straight Florida tournament, the Lady Eagles now will not play again until they host the Lady Eagle Invitational, April 6-7, at Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Hattiesburg.
