Football Continues Wyndham New Orleans Bowl Preparations

Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said
?They don?t beat themselves,? Bower said. ?They?re going to line-up and run the ball about 70 percent of the time, compared to only 20 passes a game. They can really run the football.?
Southern Miss closed out its regular season on Dec. 4 against
?It?s been a whirlwind for us as coaches, with recruiting and preparation, and our players with exams,? Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said. ?There?s been a lot going on. We haven?t experienced a bowl preparation like this. We?re excited about being in a bowl game, with another chance to play.?
Bower said senior tight end Otho Graves (ankle) practiced ?a little? today, and added that he ?doesn?t know the game status? of sophomore defensive end Matthew Chatelain (ankle) and senior linebacker Dillon Cleckler (knee).
Bower added that the he applied for a waiver to the NCAA to allow more coaches on the road to recruit. Only seven coaches are allowed to be on the road. Bower said he wants all 10 coaches to be on the road next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, ?so we can catch up.?
