Boley, Eubanks Named Conference USA Players Of The Year
Michael Boley was named Conference USA Defensive Player Of The Year today. |
John Eubanks was named Conference USA Special Teams Player Of The Year today. |
With Boley?s selection, it marks the sixth time in nine seasons that a Golden Eagle player has won Conference USA Player of the Year honors, joining Patrick Surtain (1997), Adalius Thomas (1998 and 1999), Cedric Scott (2000) and Rod Davis (2003) as other Golden Eagle recipients.
?I?m very proud of both of these players and what they accomplished this season,? Southern Miss Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said. ?Their on-field accomplishments make them worthy of these prestigious honors. These players are deserving of this honor because of their hard work and dedication to the program, on and off the field. It?s great to see that other league coaches and media recognize everything that these two players mean not only to our program, but to the league.?
