Lady Eagles Travel To Louisiana-Monroe
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss hits the road looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The Lady Eagles play their third game in five days when they face UL-Monroe on Tuesday.
Southern Miss (2-3) is coming off a 66-56 loss to American in the consolation game of the Lady Eagle Classic. In that game, Deondra Carter led Southern Miss with 14 points, Shannon Stueber and Dianca Jones added 11 points apiece. For the first time in the history of the Classic, Southern Miss did not play in the championship game.
Stueber continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 15.4 points, while Kimberly Rigg leads the team in rebounding at 7.0 rebounds per game. The Lady Eagles are averaging 54.0 points and 37.4 rebounds. Southern Miss is shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 74.4 percent from the free throw line. The team has connected on 15-of-42 three-pointers. The Lady Eagles have a rebounding margin of +5.2.
