Lady Eagles Host Arkansas-Little Rock in Home Opener

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss opens its home portion of the schedule, hosting Arkansas-Little Rock on Nov. 23 in Reed Green Coliseum at 7 p.m.
Southern Miss (0-1) is coming off a lopsided loss to No. 2/3 LSU, 80-35. Freshman Shannon Stueber scored 11 points in her collegiate debut. Sophomore Kimberly Rigg, who played in 19 games last season, scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds. Liz Biland also pulled down seven rebounds. LSU forced the Lady Eagles into 34 turnovers that led to 42 points for the Lady Tigers. Seimone Augustus led all scorers with 16 points. The Lady Tigers also had 27 steals.
UALR comes into the game with a 0-1 record, following a 76-59 loss to Texas-Arlington. In that game, Courtenay Brown and Jocelyn Love scored a 16 points each and Alicia Cash added 13 points with six rebounds.
Following the UALR game, Southern Miss hits the road for a game at UCF, Nov. 25, in an 11 a.m., (CT) start.
