HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss baseball and softball will provide area youth with a unique opportunity to see some of the best intercollegiate action in those two sports available anywhere.
Youth teams and individual players, in uniform, will be admitted free without a ticket into the general admission sections for all remaining Sunday softball home games, and all remaining Tuesday and Sunday baseball home games.
Adults (including coaches) and siblings accompanying the individual players or player groups will pay the regular admission price.
"Youngsters have always been an important part of our athletics programs here at Southern Miss," said Athletics Director Richard Giannini. "This is an effort on our part to repay those younger fans who have been so loyal to us, as well as to get new groups involved."
These promotions start with Sunday's home game against Tulane, a game between two of the top teams in Conference USA and a game that will have an impact on league standings.
