Willcutt Named Conference USA Co-Hitter Of The Week
Willcutt, named the Coca-Cola Classic's MVP for his tournament performance, hit .444 for the week (8/18) with seven extra-base hits, including six doubles and a home run and drove in eight runs. He scored four times and drew a pair of walks and finished the week with a .500 on-base percentage and a .944 slugging percentage.
For the season, Willcutt is hitting .400 (12/30) with seven doubles, one home run and is tied for the team lead in RBIs with eight. He has an on-base percentage of .455 and a slugging percentage of .733.
Also earning Conference USA co-hitter of the week honors was South Florida's catcher Devin Ivany. He led South Florida to a 3-1 week, while batting .688 (11/16). TCU's Clayton Jerome was named the pitcher of the week. He threw a complete game victory against Texas Tech, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five, while not walking a batter.
