Lady Eagle Basketball Team Signs Indiana Standout HATTIESBURG, Miss. -
Gurganus, a 5-9, guard, plays at Perry Meridian High School where she averaged 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds as a junior for Coach Mike Armstrong. She received all-conference honors last season. She was named all-country, all-area and all-state honorable mention. Her team won the sectionals, regionals and semi-state championships and finished as the state runner up. She played AAU basketball for the Indiana Force for Coach Glenn Shepherd.
"Kelsey is a combo-guard from one of the best high school basketball programs in the state of Indiana," Reeves said. "Coach Armstrong has sent a lot of great players into the college ranks, including current WNBA star and former Purdue All-American Katie Douglass. Kelsey is the latest in a long line of great players at Perry Meridian High School. She led her team to the 3A state semifinal game last season, and she'll add depth to our backcourt next season and will be a pleasant addition to the roster."
