Golden Eagle Tennis Player Plays For Singles Championship

Canudas defeated David Goulet of Tulane, Saturday morning in the quarterfinals, in another three-set match, 6-7, 7-5, 6-4.
In other Golden Eagle action, Juanjo ?J. J.? Martin lost to Nicolas Houard of UNO, 6-3, 7-5, in the quarterfinals.
In the consolation draw, Dylan Mezey lost to Danny Bryan of LSU, 7-5, 6-2. Reid Bourgeois defeated Matt Fitzpatrick of Belmont in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, but lost to Bryan (LSU), 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8).
In doubles play, all three of the Golden Eagle teams lost. Thomas Funke and Martin lost in to Andreas Siljestrom and Rishan Kuruppu of Middle Tennessee, 8-5. Marc Lux and Christopher Rea lost to Goulet and Maucci of Tulane, 8-0. Bourgeois and Mezey lost to Moretti and Fitzpatrick of Belmont, 8-4.
In non-tournament action, Funke defeated Patrizio Maucci of Tulane, 6-7, ret.
