Eagle Golfers Are 11th At Tennessee Tourney
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --
The Swedish National Team leads the 54-hole event with a 279-284---563 total, 13-under par, and three shots in front of host Tennessee (284-282--566) and Georgia Southern (285-281--566).
The Swedish Team's Jonas Blixt sits alone atop the leaderboard after 36 holes, after shooting a blistering 11-under-par 133 (68-65), breaking the tournament record for two rounds.
For Southern Miss, Ben Snow led the Eagles with identical rounds of one-under-par 71 and his 142 total has him in a tie for 13th place with 18 holes remaining. Other Southern Miss players and their scores include Danny Dennis (74-74--148) tied for 42nd, Matt Wofford (77-72--149) tied for 48th, Shane Rushing (76-74--150) tied for 54th and Justin Elliott (81-70--151) tied for 58th.
Elliott had Southern Miss' worst round of the day (80) and also the best round, at two-under-par 70.
The final round of the tournament will be played Tuesday morning, leaving Head Coach Steve Johnson and his team with only a single fall tournament remaining, Oct. 27-28, at the USA Fall Beach Classic in
