Bridges Selected To Play in Senior Bowl
Bridges, who was a four-year starter on the offensive line, ended his Southern Miss career with 45 career starts. A strong and powerful player, he led the team in offensive snaps two of the past three-straight seasons. Bridges started all 12 games in which he played in 2002 and helped pave the way for 1,000-yard rusher Derrick Nix.
Southern Miss has had 62 players participate in the Senior Bowl since 1950, ranking among the top schools in sending players to the event. Bridges, Jason Jimenez and Rayshun Jones also were selected to play in the 2003 Rotary Gridiron Classic in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 25, at 1 p.m., CT.
