Southern Miss Lady Eagles Host Cincinnati
The Southern Miss Lady Eagles play their second game of a Conference USA weekend series, hosting Cincinnati, Sunday.
Southern Miss (10-11, 3-5) is coming off a 57-54 win over Louisville. Tierra Lassiter came off the bench, pacing four players in double-figures with 15 points, La'Tasha Sumerall scored 13 points, Victoria Mason had 12 and Marlena Lee chipped in 11 points.
Sumerall leads the Golden Eagles in scoring, averaging 11.9 points, with Victoria Mason adding 10.4 points per game. Sonja Brown continues to lead the team in rebounding, pulling down 8.6 rebounds per game and averaging a league-leading 4.2 blocks per game. Brown broke the all-time career record in blocked shots with 75. Sophomore Lana Lewis, who played only two minutes against Marquette, continues to lead the team in assist and free throw percentage. Sumerall leads the team in steals.
