Lady Eagles Head West, Plays at San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Southern Miss tries to get back on the winning track, when the Lady Eagles visit San Francisco, Tuesday. This is the first meeting between the two teams and the first time since 1995 that a Lady Eagle basketball team has played in the state of California. Southern Miss ends its three-game road swing at McNeese State (12/20).
The Lady Eagles are coming off a 51-46 loss at South Alabama (12/15). Dana Jones and Allison Story led the team in scoring with 13 points, each.
Jones continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 12.1 points per game, while Brown leads the team in rebounding (8.1 rpg) and blocks (4.0). Brown ranks fourth in the nation in blocked shots. Marlena Lee leads the team in assists with 26.
Following the three straight raod games, Southern Miss takes a break for the Christmas Holidays and return to the Green Coliseum, Dec. 28, hosting nationally ranked Texas Tech.
