Toys For Tots, Food Drive at Next Two Games
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss Athletic Department will again do its part to help make the holiday season a happy one.
Upcoming home basketball games against Arkansas State (Dec. 14) and Arkansas-Little Rock (Dec. 21) have been designated as "Toys for Tots", in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps; and, the department will hold a canned food drive the same two games, with donations going to the Christian Services Center.
Appropriately-marked containers will be located at each entrance, and fans are encouraged to help the Athletic Department make the Christmas season brighter for those in need in our area.
The Toys for Tots campaign is sponsored nationally each year by the Marine Corps as they work to help make sure "that needy boys and girls in south Mississippi do not suffer because of the turbulent time surrounding the Middle East and Homeland Security."
Both games start at 4 p.m., in Green Coliseum and tickets are available at the Athletic Ticket Office located in the Ferlise Center, by calling 601-266-5418 or 1-800-844-TICK or at the door prior to each game.
