Lady Eagles Finished 10th at South Florida Tournament
BAYONET POINT, Fla. ? The Southern Miss women?s golf team placed 10th at the Beacon Woods Invitational, scoring 300-284-280 ? 864, over the weekend at the Beacon Woods Country Club.
Ashlea Deener led the Lady Eagles, tying 33rd place with 81-73-78 ? 232. Jennifer Keefe (84-77-78 ? 239) and Brena Quaranto (79-82-78 ? 239) shared 50th place.
Natasha Vincent scored 81-81-78 ? 240 to finish in a tie for 53rd. Ofelia Lopez carded 79-82-81 ? 242 and tied for 59th.
Tulane set a tournament record with a 54-hole 864 total to win by 24 shots over second-place South Florida, the host team. One day after shooting a four-under par 284 on Saturday, the Green Wave improved with a final round 280, including a five-under 67 from Carolin Landman, who claimed co-medalist honors with Green Wave teammate Liliana Alvarez at 216.
