Dear Diary
I was so happy that Christmas break is here. With no classes to attend, I can sleep in, go to practice and take a nap after practice. I really miss sleep. Even though the team doesn?t get the same break as the rest of the students, it?s nice not to have to go to class.
Practice was tough. We had two games to play before we could go home. It was exciting to win both games. The game against Hampton was a little close for comfort, but we were able to pull it off. After the Hampton game, I can go HOME!!!

Dear Diary
I am on my way home. It was one of the worst times to fly. I had exactly four and one-half days to spend at home. I think I used two of those days traveling. I had only three days to
spend with my family. Every time I go home, I have a delay in Memphis and Detroit.
I finally got home and we celebrated Christmas. I got a lot of goodies from Santa. I must have been good this year.

Dear Diary
Can you believe this, not one delay on my way back to school. I arrived in Hattiesburg for a 7 p.m., practice. We were getting ready for the Dartmouth Tournament. We are playing Kentucky in the first game.
We headed for the Dartmouth trip on Dec. 27 and landed in Boston. We drove for two and one-half hours to Hanover. The ride was nice. We had about 20 minutes to get ready for practice. After practice we went to the tournament dinner at a place called Lou Lou?s. The food was great. It was Italian. We even had a little entertainment.
We played Kentucky close the first half. I felt like we should have beaten them. We had to play Dartmouth in the consolation game. That was a great game. We won!!! We beat Dartmouth by two points!
The good thing about travel games is that we get to shop at different outlets. We did and found a lot of great sales. I loaded up. After the shopping spree, we loaded up the bus and headed back to Hattiesburg. The trip home was long. The line at the airport was out the door. We arrived in Hattiesburg about 2:30 a.m., and was told we had an 8 a.m. practice.

Dear Diary
It?s New Year?s Day. Yesterday we had a three-hour practice in the morning. It was a hard practice, but we had the rest of the day off to do whatever we wanted. I spent most of the time sleeping.
For the next three days, we continued to practice hard, getting ready for Tulane. They are ranked in the top 25. We need to have a good showing.

Dear Diary
The break is over. We played tough at Tulane. We lost by one-point on a last second shot. We should have won. Monday is the start of a new semester. We have to get ready for classes, more practice and less sleep. I will survive.
