Lady Eagles Host First-time Opponent in Hampton
Southern Miss (5-5) is coming off a 53-46 win against intrastate-rival Jackson State. Sonja Brown led the team with her second double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. She also recorded six blocked shots, four assists and two steals. Mason continues to lead the Golden Eagles in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game, while Brown leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 8.4 rebounds per game and averaging 4.0 blocks per game. Sophomore Lana Lewis continues to be perfect from the line, connecting on 20-of-20 for the season.
Following the Hampton game, the Lady Eagles will take a break for the Christmas Holidays and return to action, Dec. 28-29, at the Blue Sky Classic in Hanover, N.H. Southern Miss opens the Classic with Kentucky at 5 p.m.
