Bill Selby (Baseball, 1991-92)
Was an outstanding second baseman and third baseman for the Golden Eagles during the 1991 and 1992 seasons...Had a .363 career batting average during his career with the Golden Eagles...Had 55 career doubles to rank among the school's all-time leaders...Hit .387 during the 1992 season, tying for the 7th best mark in school history...Holds the school record for doubles in a season with 31 in 1991 and is tied for the school record for home runs in a season with 23 during the 1992 campaign...His 183 total bases during 1992 is the second best in school history, while his .824 slugging percentage that same year is also second best ever at Southern Miss....Has an ABCA All-American in 1992 and was also selected to the all-Metro Conference team in 1992...Was drafted in the 13th round of the 1992 Major League baseball draft by the Boston Red Sox and during his professional career has played with the Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.
