Jeremy Childress joined the Southern Miss athletics department as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Creative Strategy in May 2022. He started his time at Southern Miss with over six years of experience in graphic design and marketing.
Childress, a native of Columbia, Miss., graduated from Mississippi State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
From 2017 to 2021, Childress served as the graphic designer for the Home Builders Association of Jackson, Miss. While at HBAJ he designed and produced several publications for the association, as well as, their annual trade show events.
In 2021, Childress returned to Columbia, Miss. as the Sr. Lead Designer for Duff Capital Investors. During his time at DCI, he helped develop and implement the marketing vision for all 20+ companies. Some of these companies included Southern Tire Mart, Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J, DeepWell, and all the Pine Belt dealerships.Â
Childress also worked as a freelance designer for many businesses across the country before joining Southern Miss. He even had worked featured at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV.
