Verdeja is entering her second year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Southern Miss.
In her first year, she worked primarily with indoor and beach volleyball. In her second year, she will be working with the track and field and cross country programs.
Verdeja graduated from the University of Central Florida in the spring of 2018 with her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. While at UCF, she worked with the football team while she was there, which went 13-0 in that season.
The Miami, Fla. native is working toward her Master's in Sports Management at Southern Miss.
