HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss volleyball's Kody Bivins has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, as announced by Head Coach Jenny Hazelwood on Thursday.
Bivins, who has been an assistant coach since joining the staff in 2024, will now serve as the associate head coach for the program, extending beyond his previous role as an assistant coach.
"I couldn't be more excited and proud to announce Kody's well-deserved promotion to Associate Head Coach," Hazelwood said. "Since the day Kody joined our staff at Southern Miss, he has been an absolute game-changer, bringing relentless energy, elite-level knowledge of the game, and an unmatched passion for developing our student-athletes on and off the court. His work ethic, loyalty, and ability to connect with our players have been instrumental in the growth of this program."
During his time at Southern Miss, Bivins has helped the program to their 2024 and 2025 postseason appearances, as well as coaching multiple all-conference selections.
"This promotion is simply a reflection of the incredible impact he's already had and the past few years," Hazelwood said.
