Head Coach Joye Lee-McNelis
"We are excited to Welcome Coach Stephanie Stoglin-Reed to our Lady Eagle family. Coach Reed brings much experience from the different stops she has had in her career. She provides us an opportunity to enhance our recruiting in different areas due to the relationships she has built. Coach is passionate about helping young people become great while also helping them understand that this only happens through discipline and hard work. Stephanie played for me one year at the University of Memphis. Her commitment to skill development was one of the best I have ever coached. Stephanie understands the importance of it as she learned the game from her father Andy Stoglin, former men's coach at Jackson State University. On a personal note, she is a mom with two beautiful children: Chris and Shiloh. We welcome them into our Lady Eagle family."
Reed coached at Marshall for three seasons, helping the program reach postseason play for the third time in five years when the Thundering Herd earned a berth in the 2019 Women's Basketball Invitational. Once there, Marshall won at Davidson for just the program's second postseason win in the NCAA era.
Stoglin-Reed went to Huntington after one year as Kansas State's coordinator of recruiting operations where she was responsible for handling all of K-State's on campus recruiting operations and summer camps. The Wildcats advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in her last season and compiled a 19-13 record.
Before her appointment at K-State, Stoglin-Reed was a women's basketball assistant coach in 2014-15 at Texas State. While with the Bobcats, Stoglin-Reed was responsible for coaching the Texas State post players, aided in player development and recruitment and helped the program to a 17-15 record and a first round appearance in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI).
Prior to joining Texas State, Stoglin-Reed spent one season at North Texas as the director of player development for the men's basketball team. While at North Texas, Stoglin-Reed handled all recruiting correspondence as well as offensive and defensive efficiency tracking, individual film breakout sessions and served as a liaison for student-athlete academics.
Before joining North Texas, Stoglin-Reed was the coach at KIPP Tulsa College Preparatory Academy from 2011-13. During that time, she led KIPP to the 2013 regular season city championship and city tournament runner-up finish.
