Shelby Beam came to Southern Miss as the Women's Basketball Graduate Assistant in August of 2019.
Beam graduated from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky. with her Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies as well as a Bachelor's in Sports Administration. She played for the Tigers as a guard, wearing No. 25, for three seasons - 2015-18. She garnered All Mid-South and Academic All-Conference accolades as well as broke the school record for the most three-pointers in a game with 10.
The Arab, Ala. native worked for her college as an Assistant Coach and the Head Coach of the JV team for the 2018-19 season.
