Rip Rowan, a former four-year letter winner at Austin Peay State University, enters his second season as defensive line graduate assistant with the Golden Eagles. He will be working alongside defensive line coach Justin Roberts.

Prior to taking over as defensive line graduate assistant, Rowan was a history teacher, varsity assistant football coach and junior varsity defensive coordinator at Northwest High School in Clarksville, Tenn. in 2014.

Rowan played defensive end and linebacker at Austin Peay from 2010-13, and started all four years.

Rowan graduated from Austin Peay in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in history/education. He graduated with honors, and was on the dean’s list all four years. Rowan is from Mariette, Ga.
