Mike Jones moves into his new role this season as Director of Recruiting.
Last season, Jones handled the day-to-day activities of monitoring and analyzing new opportunities for growth of the Southern Miss Football brand while organizing overall operational strategy of digital content used for recruiting purposes and overall brand exposure.
He attended Waukesha West High School in Waukesha, Wis., as a freshman and sophomore; before transferring to Fort Zumwalt West High School in O’Fallon, Mo., as a junior; and University City High School in St. Louis as a senior.
Jones played football in high school, helping his teams advance to the postseason each season, including a state championship as a freshman with WWHS. In addition, he also played basketball.
Jones was an honor student. Originally from St. Louis, Jones is majoring in broadcasting.
