Tailgating is an opportunity for alumni and friends-both new and old-to gather before and after a Southern Miss athletic event. Starting with Friday Night at the Fountain, fans flock to The District, Danforth Chapel Place, Centennial Green and Pride Field with black and gold flags, tents, barbecue grills and music.
Two hours before kickoff, a blast from a cannon signals the beginning of Eagle Walk. Fans line the streets surrounding the stadium as Seymour, The Pride of Mississippi Marching Band, Dixie Darlings, cheerleaders and football team march from the Aubrey K. Lucas Administration Building to The Rock.
