Men's and Women's Tennis Garner ITA Academic Awards

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their 2025 All-Scholar Athletes and All-Academic Teams, honoring teams and student-athletes with outstanding academic achievement. The Southern Miss women's tennis team earned All-Academic Team honors along with seven student-athletes earning All-Scholar Athlete. The men's tennis team had four individuals earn All-Scholar Athlete honors.
The All-Academic Team award recognizes two-year and four-year tennis programs that maintained a 3.2 team grade point average throughout the full academic year. All student-athletes listed on the eligibility roster qualify to be included on the team GPA. In order for student-athletes to be named an All-Scholar Athlete, individuals must have a 3.5 grade point average over the full academic year.
Over the course of the 2024-25 academic year, the women's tennis team maintained a cumulative 3.54 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The seven women's tennis student-athletes to earn All-Scholar Athlete honors include Hannah Chambers, Manuella Persson, Talia Wunnenberg, Angelina Blinova, Jordan Parker, Gagana Mohan Kumar, and Miranda Xu.
The four men's tennis student-athletes to earn All-Scholar Athlete include Maxim Vulic, Ritabrata Sarkar, Saheb Sodhi, and Pasawee Reansuwong.
