Sun Belt Announces Game Times for Selected 2025 Football Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Sun Belt Conference, in conjunction with its television partners, announced selected game times Thursday morning for the 2025 Southern Miss football season.
The Golden Eagles open the year at home, Saturday, Aug. 30, against Mississippi State on ESPN. The game will kick off at 11 a.m., from Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Southern Miss then plays host the following week, Sept. 6, against Jackson State and that contest will take place at 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
Week three shows App State coming to The Rock for a 6 p.m. contest, Saturday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. That game can be seen on ESPN+ as well.
First-year coach Charles Huff then takes his team on the road for the first time, Saturday, Sept. 20, for a 6:30 p.m., contest at Louisiana Tech which will be shown on one of the ESPN Platforms.
The Thursday, Oct 9, tilt at Georgia Southern, will take place either at 6:30 or 7 p.m. and will be shown either on ESPN or ESPN2.
The Sun Belt Conference uses a 12-day out policy to announce game times and television networks for the remainder of the season for Southern Miss.
