Track and Field Kicks Off Outdoor Season at Bulldog Alumni Relays

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss track and field team kicks off its outdoor season Thursday through Saturday at the Bulldog Alumni Relays, hosted by Mississippi State at the Mike Sanders Track Complex in Starkville.

Thursday's competition begins with the women's hammer throw at noon, concluding with the men's hammer throw. Events resume Friday with the women's discus at 11 a.m. and wrap up with the men's 5,000 meters at 5:25 p.m. On Saturday, competition includes an alumni recognition at 12:30 p.m., followed by the first event, the women's 4x100-meter relay at 1 p.m. The meet concludes with the men's 4x400-meter relay at 4:30 p.m.

At last year's Bulldog Relays, Southern Miss finished with four first-place performances and 11 top-eight finishes in 2024.
