Volleyball Inks Two on National Signing Day

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Volleyball inks two athletes on national signing day. Benett Boulo and Alyssa Dampier signed to join the Golden Eagles in the 2026 season.
Boulo, a Mobile, Alabama native, signs as a setter for the Golden Eagles from St. Paul's Episocopal. Boulo brings more than 1,500 career assists and a resume featuring 2025 AVCA All-America All-Region honors, multiple All-State selections, 2025 7A All-Tournament Team and MVP recognition, 2024 6A-7A All-Tournament Team and MVP honors. She also has been named a North-South All-Star Team selection as well as multiple Kiwanis Player of the Week awards, 2023 All-County and All-State honors, and an AL.com ranking as the No. 7 senior in the state of Alabama.
Dampier joins Southern Miss from Madison-Ridgeland Academy in Ridgeland, Mississippi, where she put together an outstanding four-year varsity career. Dampier totaled more than 220 career blocks and 500 kills while hitting .389 during her time with the Patriots, helping them to a 125-41 overall record through her time there. She capped her senior season with 140 kills (4.4 per set), a .311 hitting percentage and 81 total blocks.
