Women’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Nonconference Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Lady Eagles have their full 2024-25 slate as Southern Miss women's basketball celebrates its 50th season of competition this fall. With four home games – including the first game against Memphis in Reed Green Coliseum since 2013 – and a trip to the Bahamas, highlight the 12-game nonconference schedule.
Southern Miss fans will get their preview of the 2024-25 Lady Eagle squad on a Wednesday, Oct. 30, exhibition against Mississippi College. Admission to the game will be free.
The regular season gets underway on Monday, Nov. 4, at Bowling Green as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge. Southern Miss' first home game will host its annual Education Day game on Thursday, Nov. 7, against Blue Mountain Christian at 11 a.m.
A battle for the Mayor's Cup against William Carey on Monday, Nov. 11, marks Southern Miss' last home game of the month as the Lady Eagles play their next five games away from Reed Green Coliseum.
The road swing begins on Friday, Nov. 15, in Hammond, La., at Southeastern. The next week, the Lady Eagles leave for the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas, to take part in the 2024 Bad Boy Mowers Battle4Atlantis. Southern Miss opens play on Saturday, Nov. 23, against Baylor and may face Indiana or Columbia on Sunday, Nov. 24. The final day of the tournament is set for Monday, Nov. 25.
Southern Miss heads back stateside for a Sunday, Dec. 1, meeting at UAB in Birmingham, Ala. – the first regular season meeting between the two since 2022.
After almost a month away, the Lady Eagles return home on Thursday, Dec. 5, against Mississippi Valley State, the first of back-to-back home contests. The homestand concludes on Sunday, Dec. 8, against Memphis.
A trip to Springfield, Mo., concludes the fall nonconference slate as Southern Miss meets Missouri State for the first time in program history on Friday, Dec. 20.
The second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge sees Southern Miss host a to-be-determined MAC opponent on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. The Lady Eagles will learn their opponent after the new year.
