Volleyball Welcomes Aubrey Judd

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Head coach Jenny Hazelwood and Southern Miss Volleyball announced the addition of Hot Springs, Ark. middle blocker Ashley Judd to the program's roster Monday afternoon.
Judd helped lead Lakeside MTXE to a 25-5 record last season , pacing the team with nearly two aces per game and three blocks per game, along with a second-best 9.8 kills per game. Judd also tied the school's record for most kills in a single game with 21 kills versus Mount St. Mary Academy.
At Lakeside High School, Judd earned All-State honors twice, earned three-time All-Conference honors and was also named twice to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Phenom List. A member of the National Honors Society, Judd was also honored with the first AVCA Best and Brightest Award for her academic achievements.
The addition of Judd brings the Golden Eagles' list of newcomers to seven, including five incoming freshmen. Judd joins three hitters in ULM transfer Brynn Botkin and freshmen Emily Davis (Brandon, Miss.) and Ella Ward (Little Rock, Ark.) and a group of liberos that include the Gatorade Mississippi Volleyball Player of the Year, Kaylee Lowther (Jackson, Miss.) and Lindsey Smith (Madison, Miss.).
