Men's and Women's Tennis Slated for Road Matches at Jackson State

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Both Southern Miss women's and men's tennis will take on Jackson State Friday afternoon in Jackson. First serve for both matches is slated for 2 p.m. at the JSU Tennis Center.
Men's tennis is coming off a its first win of the season after beating New Orleans 5-2 on Monday afternoon. The Golden Eagles got wins from Dakotah Bobo, Olimjon Nabiev, Henry Lamchinniah and Olle Noltorp. They also got doubles wins from Bobo and Lamchinniah along with Noltorp and Pasawee Reansuwong. Women's tennis is coming off an 11-day break after its match against New Orleans got rained out. Angelina Blinova, Hannah Chambers and Malannia Vashkevich all lead Southern Miss with two wins each.
The Jackson State men's tennis team boasts a 3-4 mark after its loss to Alabama State on Sunday. Its women's tennis team is off to a 6-2 start after picking up a pair of wins at the annual SWAC Pod Tournament.
Both Southern Miss squads host home matches after play Jackson State. The men host Alcorn State on March 2 at 11 a.m., while the women play Lamar this Sunday at 2 p.m.
