Southern Miss Cheer Recently Competed in the UCA Collegiate Nationals

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss Cheer Team competed last month in the 2024 UCA College Nationals at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.
The competition gave the Golden Eagle Cheer Team an opportunity to showcase their talent and dedication. The appearance marked the first for the Southern Miss squad in 16 years.
"Competing at this UCA national level for the first time since 2008, and the first time ever in Orlando in the D1A game day division, is a significant milestone," said Southern Miss cheer coach Ashton Jennings. "It highlighted the team's growth and determination to compete among the best in collegiate cheerleading.>
This inaugural appearance marks the beginning of a new era for the team, leaving fans and spectators eager to witness their continued success on the national cheerleading stage.
