Women's Tennis Set for ITA Southern Regionals

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Southern Miss women's tennis returns to action Thursday, where they will participate in the ITA Southern Regionals Tournament hosted by Auburn at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala.
The competition is scheduled to begin on Oct. 10 and finish on Sunday, Oct. 13.
This week's event marks the start of Piyanart Engineer's third year as the head coach of the women's tennis program, along with assistant coach Abhijeet Tiwari.
Juniors Hannah Chambers and Angelina Blinova will represent the Golden Eagles, along with freshmen Gagana Mohan Kumar and Jordan Parker.
Mohan Kumar will start in the main draw at 9 a.m. Thursday in singles against ULM's Vanja Cado, followed by Jordan Parker's contest against ULM's Jorrin Lucia Fernandez at 10 a.m and Angelina Blinova's draw against Manal Ennaciri of South Alabama at 10:30 a.m.
In doubles, Blinova will be paired with Mohan Kumar, while Chambers and Jordan will compete together.
