Women's Tennis Heads to Jacksonville for UNF Invite

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Southern Miss women's tennis continues its fall season this weekend, participating at the University of North Florida Invite in Jacksonville, Fla., running from Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3.
The Golden Eagles will be represented by juniors Hannah Chambers and Angelina Blinova along with freshmen Gagana Mohan Kumar and Jordan Parker.
Blinova has made a strong start this fall, notching four wins, including a standout performance at the Blazer Battle Invitational last weekend. Blinova partnered with Kumar to secure a doubles victory against Samford and clinched a three-set singles victory against Samford's Margaret Jaraczewski in her weekend in Birmingham.
Chambers also shined, defeating Samford's Hailey Troup in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, marking Southern Miss' final win in the team's second event of the fall season.
Southern Miss aims to build on early momentum at the UNF Invite before returning home to host the UTR College Circuit.
