De’Aundre Ward Earns Sun Belt Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss junior De'Aundre Ward earned the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week in an announcement by the league office on Wednesday.
Ward, from Brandon, Miss., who transferred from Hinds Community College and also attended Brandon High School, captured the long jump competition at the Vulcan Invite last Saturday at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
He won his event with a mark of 7.48 meters.
The Golden Eagles return to action this weekend when they travel to Nashville, Tenn., Friday and Saturday for the Vanderbilt Invite.
