First Runner of the Week Accolade for the 2023 Season Goes to Isabela Ross

NEW ORLEANS- Southern Miss Cross Country sophomore Isabela Ross has been named the Sun Belt Women's Runner of the Week, announced by the conference Wednesday.
Ross paced the Mississippi College Opener, finishing first last Friday with a 5K time of 17:12.70, with the second runner coming in more than a minute after. The Wisconsin native was just 11 seconds off her best time and aided the team in a third-place showing.
"I am thrilled for Izzy," said Coach Gibson. "She dedicated a tremendous amount of effort this summer, and her performance showcased remarkable confidence. This recognition is truly well-deserved."
