Men's Tennis Opens Fall Season in Lake Charles

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss men's tennis team opens the fall schedule this weekend with the Lake Charles Hidden Dual in Lake Charles, La. The three-day event will be held at Lake Charles Racquet Club.
"I am excited to see how we stack up early in the season and we'll have good competition to test us," said head coach Zubin Engineer. "Playing South Alabama and Louisiana will be a great indicator for where we are at in terms of Sun Belt competition."
The field includes UTSA, South Alabama, Louisiana and Rice. The Golden Eagles will travel Dakotah Bobo, Pawin Jirapoomdaje, Olimjon Nabiev, Shamirul Shahril, Pasawee Reansuwong and Henry Lamchinniah.
Southern Miss opens play with doubles against UTSA on Friday morning at 9 a.m. Singles play against South Alabama will immediately follow. Saturday's slate opens with doubles at 9 a.m. against Louisiana and Rice, followed by singles matches against UTSA. The Golden Eagles will wrap up on Sunday against South Alabama in doubles and 8 a.m., then singles against Louisiana and Rice after.
