Southern Miss Soccer Releases 2023 Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- Southern Miss Soccer head coach Mohammed El-Zare announced the fall 2023 schedule Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles will kick off their 2023 season in Poplarville, Miss., for an exhibition match against Pearl River Community College on Thursday, Aug. 4. Southern Miss will host their final exhibition match against Jackson State University on Thursday, Aug. 10, at the Marshall Bell Complex.
On Aug. 13, the Black and Gold will return to Poplarville for a neutral site game against Southeastern Louisiana and will continue on the road for a matchup against Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss. on Aug. 17, followed by LSU in Baton Rouge, La. on Aug. 20.
The Golden Eagles will return home to host Mississippi Valley State on Aug.26 before heading to Athens, Ga. for a contest against Georgia on Sep. 3.
Southern Miss will welcome Alabama on Sep. 7 at the Marshal Bell Complex, followed by Nicholls State on Sep. 10 before beginning conference play with South Alabama on Sep. 17.
The Black and Gold will then start their road conference matchups in Troy, Ala. against Troy on Sep. 21 and return home to play against Arkansas State University on Sep. 24 before heading to Norfolk, V.A., on Sep. 30 for a contest with Old Dominion.
On Oct. 5, Southern Miss will face off with Georgia State at home before heading to Lafayette, La., on Oct. 8 to hit the pitch with Louisiana.
Georgia Southern will make the trip to Hattiesburg on Oct.15 before the Golden Eagles travel to Boone, N.C., on Oct. 19 to battle App State.
The final home game of the 2023 campaign will take place on October 22 against ULM, with the final regular-season match taking place on October 26 in San Marcos, Texas, against Texas State. The Sun Belt Conference Championships will take place Oct. 30- Nov. 5 in Foley, Ala.
