Southern Miss Track & Field Host Invitational This Weekend

HATTIESBURG, Miss.--The Southern Miss track and field team will host their annual Southern Miss Invitational on March 31-April 1. The rescheduled 2020 track and field reunion will also take place this weekend, in addition to senior recognition at the Marshall Bell Complex.
"We're always excited to compete on our home turf; we will get to recognize our seniors and have their families come out and support. It should be an exciting weekend. We are all looking forward to it," said head coach Jon Stuart.
Southern Miss welcomes Alcorn State, Belhaven, Dillard, Hinds Community College, Jarvis Christian, Loyola-New Orleans, Meridian Community College, Millsaps, Mississippi College, Mississippi Valley State, Mobile, Southeastern Louisiana, South Alabama, Spring Hill, William Carey, and Xavier-Louisiana.
On Friday, the triple jump, hammer, and javelin are scheduled to start the competition at 3:30 p.m. CT. Men's long jump will open Saturday's action at 10:00 a.m. CT. Running events will begin at 12:10 p.m. with the women's 5000m.
