Omar Austin Wins Sun Belt Track Athlete of the Week

NEW ORLEANS- Omar Austin, a sprinter for the Southern Miss track and field team, was selected the week two men's track athlete of the week by the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday as a result of his dominant performance at the Florida State Relays in Tallahassee, Fla. over this past weekend.
"Omar has been outstanding this season, and I'm excited to see how much more he will achieve in these upcoming weeks," said head coach Jon Stuart.
The New Jersey native found a first-place finish in the 200-meter run, clocking a time of 20.92 and a second-place showing in the 400-meter run with a time of 45.89. His times rank him first in the Sun Belt Conference, and he is currently ranked third in the NCAA in the 400m.
