HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss announced Thursday afternoon that it has adjusted the schedule for its Sun Belt Conference home baseball series with Georgia Southern at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field this weekend due to expected bad weather in the Pine Belt.
The series opener, Friday, March 24, has been moved up two hours to 4 p.m., in an effort to beat rain expected in the area later that evening.
The two teams will also now play a 1 p.m., doubleheader, Saturday, March 25, to complete the series as more rain is forecasted for the entire day Sunday.
Fans are asked to use their Saturday tickets as well as that day's parking passes for the doubleheader, which will be good for both games that day.
