Smith and Wesley Selected for U.S. Women's National Team Open Program

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss redshirt junior Kenzie Smith and sophomore Mia Wesley have been selected to participate in the Women's National Team Open Program, starting Friday, Feb. 24. The two will head to the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. this weekend.
The program is used for consideration for selection to both the Women's National Team and Women's Collegiate National Team. In 2023, members of the Women's National Team will compete in the following events: Volleyball Nations League, Paris Olympic Qualifier, Pan American Cup, NORCECA Continental Championship, and potentially Pan American Games. Athletes born in 2003 or younger may also be in consideration for selection to the U21 Women's National Team that will compete in the 2023 FIVB U21 World Championship.
