Southern Miss stays on the road, traveling to the Mercer Bears Classic in Macon, Georgia, Sept. 2-3, ahead of hosting their lone nonconference tournament, Sept. 9-10, where the Black and Gold will welcome Stephen F. Austin, MVSU and Houston Baptist to Hattiesburg.
USM partakes in the JSU Invitational taking on Auburn, as well as host Jacksonville State and Jackson State, Sept. 16-17, before opening its inaugural season in the Sun Belt Conference.
The Golden Eagles kick-off SBC play in the Wellness Center with a pair of matches against South Alabama (Sept. 23-24) and Troy (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), prior to hitting the road for the first time in conference play at ULM on Oct. 6-7.
Following the pair of contests against the Warhawks, Southern Miss travels to face Texas State for the first time in program history, Oct. 14-15, before returning to close out the home slate against Arkansas State (Oct. 21-22) and Georgia State (Oct. 28-29).
Southern Miss rounds out Sun Belt action traveling to Louisiana (Nov. 3-4) and Old Dominion (Nov. 10-11) for the final four matches of the regular season.
The Foley Sports Tourism Complex plays host to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament beginning on Nov. 16 and concludes on Nov. 20 in Foley, Alabama.
"I am looking forward to seeing all of their hard work pay off. We are incredibly excited to get the newcomers on campus and training with the group already here. It should be such a fun season," Hazelwood concluded.
