Moudani Named Conference USA Male Field Athlete of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Fred Moudani threw a personal-best 64'1.75" in the shot put at the War Eagle Invitational to capture gold in the event and earn Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Week after his performance this past weekend.
"I'm extremely proud of Fred and all the hard work that he has put in since arriving on campus," said head coach Jon Stuart. "He was rewarded with a big mark over the weekend and I'm excited to see him progress even further as we wrap up the regular season."
Holding the program standard in the shot put with a mark earlier this season, Moudani, extended his record with a new PR of 64'1.75" inches and becomes the only C-USA athlete to throw over 60 feet so far this season.
Moudani and the rest of the Black and Gold are back in action this weekend at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
